Mary Joann Norris Korink, 70, of Byron, GA died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in Macon, GA.
A native of New Haven, Mrs. Korink had lived in Georgia for 11 years. She was retired from Krogers, a member of the Quilting Club for Seniors and a member of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Ernest Donahue, Jr., her parents, Charles William and Mary Willie Clark Norris, and three brothers, Truman Norris, Raphael Norris and Borrelli Norris.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Bill Korink, of Byron, GA, 4 sons, Pat Donahue (Mary) of Louisville, John Donahue, III of Owensboro, William Korink, III (Mindy) of Byron, GA and Michael Korink of Forsyth, GA, 3 daughters, Wanda Donohue (Bob) and Barbara Williamson (Hubert), all of Louisville and Rebecca Donahue (Mark) of St. Paul, Minnesota, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 5 brothers, Bryan “Butch” Norris, Tim Norris, Garry Norris, Roscoe Norris and Curtis Norris, and 6 sisters, Connie Padgett (Bill), Helen Hall (Tom), Carolyn Deep (Brad), Alice Marie Coulter, Clara Gunning (Jim) and Norma Higdon (Charlie.)
A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, August 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with Reverend Michael Wimsett officiating and cremation following the funeral. Visitation will be Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
