William P. "Bill" Sherrard, Sr., 85

William P. "Bill" Sherrard, Sr., 85,of Bardstown, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Cook Family Care Home.

He was born October 5, 1924 in Boston, KY. Mr. Sherrard was a World War II United States Army veteran and a member of St. Joseph Parish.

He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Faye Sherrard and 1 son, Joel Sherrard.

He is survived by 2 sons, Pat Sherrard of Bardstown and Paul Sherrard of Bloomfield. 1 daughter, Susie Goodrich of Bloomfield., 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, 1 brother, James Otto Sherrard of Florida and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in Bardstown Cemetery. Reverend Michael Wimsatt will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church.
